Yes its festive season. So time for colourful treats.
Plain flour 300 gms
Unsalted butter 200 gms(soft, room temperature)
Sugar 100 gms
Your favourite jam
Milk 2-3 tsp (if needed)
Mix all together well, kneed for few minutes,until you get a smooth dough. if its too dry add little milk. then make small ball,
Using your thump make a impression on each ball.
Then keep it in the fridge for atleast 1 hour
Then bake these small baskets for 10 minutes in 180 degree preheated oven, then take out from the oven & add your favourite jam
Then bake for another 5-8 minutes /until its done.
Let it cool &serve
(Note: dont put to much jam , it may overflow)
Its nearly Christmas, 10 more day to go. Already started celebration. Everyone on festive mood already. so some bright colour cookies.
For making this colourful cookies i used my basic fruit nut cookies recipe, then divide &added the red &green food colours. then make 2 sausages in different colours & rolled again to get this half half patters.

One of the best recipe i found for making the special cookies. You can use any dried fruits/nuts/ chocolate etc. i used chocolate drops, dried cranberries &sliced almonds.
1cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cup icing sugar
11/2 tsp vanilla extract
21/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup cornflour
2 tbsp milk
Cream butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy
Fold in flour 1 cup at a time, alternating with the milk
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth
Divide your batter as you like , then add your favourite flavours
Roll the dough portion into cylinder shape
Wrap it with cling wrap & keep it in the fridge at least 1 hour
Remove dough from the fridge, cut into 1cm thick slices. Place on baking tray and bake for
18-20 minutes in 160 degree preheated oven.

Cookies are very popular among kids. This is very easy recipe , make within 30 mts, no need big machine, very yummy &delicious. Can keep this in an airtight container for atleast a week.
Self raising flour 11/2 cup
butter 1/2 cup
soft brown sugar 1/2 cup
white sugar 1/4 cup
(you like hard cookies add more white sugar &less brown sugar, )
vanilla essence 1 tsp
chocolate chips/ m&m 1/2 cup
1:- preheat oven 180 degree
2:- mix butter &sugar well
3:-add egg & mix well, then add vanilla
4:-now add the flour &chocolate chips/m&m ,&mix until combined
5:- make small balls, then gently press down &place on the tray
6:-bake for 8-10mts or until its done

a small pinch salt
vanilla essence 1 tsp(optional)
your favourite jam
Mix butter & sugar well
Then add the flour &vanilla essence , mix well
Knead your dough well for few minutes until you get a smooth ball.
Cover it with a cling wrap &keep it in the fridge for atleast 15 mts.
Take out from the fridge &roll out your biscuits with your favourite cookie cutter.
Put the biscuit in a lines cookie tray.(if you feel your biscuits are too soft , put this tray in the fridge for another 5 mts in the fridge , then bake. especially if you are in a hot place)
Bake for 15-20 minutes in a 180 degree C preheated oven.
Once its cool down spread your favourite jam &make a sandwich
Chocolate Chip cookies
Butter 150 gms
Brown sugar 150 gms
Vanilla essence 1 -2 tsp
Plain flour or maida 225 gms
Soda bicarbonate 1/2 tsp
Chocolate chip 200 gms
( if you wants to make more crispy cookies use half white sugar & half brown sugar )
Put the butter and sugars into a bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in the vanilla extract and egg. Sieve the flour, and bicarbonate of soda over the mixture and mix in with a wooden spoon. Add the chocolate chips and stir well.
Line a cookie sheet with baking paper,
Use a spoon or scoop, place a small amount of mixture well apart in the baking tray, then put this tray in the fringe for 10 mts, then bake for 10 mts or until it’s done( edges turn light brown) in a 180 degree C preheated oven. Take out from the oven , allow it to cool in the tray few mts then transfer into a wire track , let it cool completely. Enjoy with your cup of tea.
150 gm butter ( in room temp)
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Sugar 1 cup
Plain flour 2 1/2 cup
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely. Enjoy
