Prawns Biriyani

Biriyani is one of the famous dish all over india. Different types of biriyanis are there. Prawns biriyani is very delicious &yummy.


For rice:

basmati rice 2 cups

salt to taste

water 4 cups

cinnamon stick 1inch

cardomom 3-4

gloves 5-6

whole peppercorns few

Add all the ingredients (except salt) leave it for 30 mts,

then add salt &cook the rice until its done &keep it aside.

For marination:-

prawns cleaned & washed 1/2 kg

salt to taste

chilly powder 2-3 tsp

turmeric powder 1/2tsp

pepper powder 1 tsp

mix all together &keep it in the fridge for atleast 15 mts.

For biriyani

onion 3 sliced

curry leaves

ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

green chilly few

chilly powder 2-3 tsp(to your taste)

coriander powder 3 tsp

asafoetida a pinch

fenugreek 1/4 tsp

1:- heat 3 tbs oil in a pan and fry the marinated prawns &keep it aside

2:- use the same pan &oil (add extra oil if needed) add onion , ginger garlic paste, green chilly &curry leaves, saute until the onion become translucent.

3:- reduce the flame &add all the spice powders &saute well

4:- then add fried prawns &mix well until all masala coated well with prawns

5:-add this masala mix to the cooked rice & mix well ,

6:-garnish it with fried onion &coriander leaves

7:-put this in very low flame for 10 minutes

8:-serve hot with pickle/raita/salad




Cooker Dum Chicken Biriyani

Chicken no 16 sliced
For marination
Chilly powder 3-4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Salt to taste
I lemon juice
Mix these together and keep it in the fridge for at least 1/2 an hour
Put 4 glass basmati rice sock it in the water for 1/2 an hour

Onion 5-6 sliced
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Chilly powder
Coriander powder 4-5 tsp
Pepper powder 2-3 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbs
Ghee 3-4 tbs
Green chilly

Coriander leaves

Heat ghee in a large cooker roast cashew then grapes & keep it aside for later for garnishing

Now add ginger garlic paste Sauté for few seconds then add onion , green chilly, sauté well onion become translucent. Now all the spices & sauté well. Now add the marinated chicken, mix throughly, then add the socked rice & 6 glass water & salt to taste( for 4 glass rice need 6 glass water is enough) no need to mix chicken & rice. Cover the pressure cooker with lids & weight on. Leave this in the medium heat for 20-25 mts. Switch of the flame and leave it until the pressure all gone . Open the lid, garnish it with raisins, cashew & coriander leaves ,( fried Onion, pineapple ,)

Serve it hot with your favourite pickle & raita.😋😋😋
