Goan Fish Curry

Fish curry is one of the famous dish in GOA, India. Its really tasty &spicy.

Fish cleaned &sliced 1kg

For Gravy

coconut shredded 1/2 cup

onion sliced 1

turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

coriander powder 3 tsp

kashmiri chilly powder 2-3 tsp

cumin seed 1 tsp

garam masala 1/2 tsp

salt to taste

garlic 1 bulb

Grind all the gravy ingredients together well , make a smooth paste &keep it aside.

For Curry

coconut milk 1 cup

oil 1 tbs

tamarind 1 ball(1 garlic bulb size)(Add 1/2 cup hot water , keep it aside)

Heat  1 tbs oil in a pan then add the gravy , saute for 3-5 minutes until gravy well cooked.

Then add the fish ,tamarind water& 1/2 cup coconut milk, cook until fish done

Then at the end add rest of the milk &switch of the flame.

Serve with plain white rice.

Beef Curry (Kerala style)(in pressure cooker)

Ingredients you need
Beef sliced 1 kg
Onion 2
Green chilly
Ginger garlic paste
Fresh ground pepper
Oil
Salt to taste
Meat masala or garam masala 3tsp
Coriander powder 2 tbs
Chilly powder according to your taste
Turmeric powder 1-2,tsp
Curry leaves
Red whole chilly
Mustard seeds
Use a cooker add oil, splitter the mustard seed then ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, red chilly then add onion & salt, sauté until it’s translucent, reduce the flame then add add all the powder masalas, sauté well for a mt. Next add the meat & stir well. Close the lid of the cooker & weight on. Wait for 5 whistle and switch of the flame. Wait until all the pressure gone and open the cooker and enjoy your beef curry with rice or appam.
